TROPICAL CYCLONE ALERT: TYPHOON GENER MALAKAS
Issued at 11:00 p.m., 14 September 2016

Typhoon GENER maintains its strength as it moves over the Philippine Sea. Estimated rainfall amount is from moderate to heavy within the 400 km diameter of the typhoon.

Location of EyeCenter: 930 km East of Casiguran, Aurora
Strength: Maximum sustained winds of up to 130 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 160 kph.
Movement: Forecast to move Northwest at 22 kph.

The public and the disaster risk reduction and management council concerned are advised to take appropriate actions and watch for the next weather bulletin to be issued at 11 AM tomorrow.

CARINA has maintained its strength while traversing northern Cagayan.
Location of Center: 30 km South of Aparri, Cagayan
Coordinates: 18.1N, 121.6E
Strength:Maximum sustained winds of up to 95 kph near the center
and gustiness of up to 120 kph.
Movement: Forecast to move Northwest at 20 kph.

TROPICAL CYCLONE ALERT: TROPICAL DEPRESSION CARINA
Issued at Friday, 29 July 2016, 11:00 AM

The Low Pressure Area LPA east of Borongan City, Eastern Samar has developed into a Tropical Depression and was named CARINA.
Location of Center: 195 km East of Borongan City, Eastern Samar
Strength: Maximum winds of 45 kph near the center.

Estimated rainfall amount is from moderate to heavy within the 300 km diameter of the Tropical Depression.
Fisherfolk are alerted against moderate to rough seas over the eastern seaboards of Luzon and Visayas.
Carina will bring moderate to heavy rains over Bicol region, Eastern Visayas and CARAGA region which may trigger flashfloods and landslides.
